MTD 746-0605 — Cable holder (original MTD)

A small, original MTD cable clamp designed to secure a control cable to the handle or frame, preventing chafing and keeping the cable routed cleanly. Made as a direct-fit replacement (later superseded to part 946-0605), the clip measures approximately 103 mm long × 86 mm wide × 16.5 mm high, so it’s a low-profile plastic hold-down that slides over or bolts to the handle mounting point for a snug fit.

Fits examples: commonly used on MTD rear-tine tillers from the late 1980s–early 1990s (models 0434, 0434A and similar) and on a number of MTD/Troy‑Bilt/Yard‑Man snowblower models and walk‑behind machines that list the 946-0605/746-0605 clamp in their parts diagrams (example model numbers include 31AE5KLF795, 31AE6BHE718, 31AS6LEG752 and others).
