Makita Batteries & Chargers Powertools

Makita have revolutionised the power tool market with their introduction of the Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) batteries, although many of their competitors have followed in their footsteps in releasing a Li-ion range, Makita was the first.

Without a doubt the most popular cordless range Makita Offer is their 18V LXT range, powered by their Li-Ion Batteries. One of the reasons this range has become so popular is because all 200+ products included runs from a the same battery.

The charge time of batteries is hugely important, the last thing you need on a busy work day is to be waiting for you batteries to charge. Makita's unrivaled charge times are the ideal choice, below is a small table of the time taken for 18V batteries to charge fully on a Makita fast charger.

Makita 18V charge times* BL1830 (3.0Ah) – 22 minutes BL1840 (4.0Ah) – 36 minutes BL1850 (5.0AH) – 45 Minutes BL1860 (6.0AH) – 55 Minutes

Unlike the old Ni-Cad batteries Li-Ion batteries do not have a charge memory and a discharge fail safe. This means part charging will not damage the cells giving longer battery life.

*Charge times are achieved on Makita's fast chargers DC18RC & DC18RD.
