Makita Rotary & SDS Drills Powertools

There are two variations of SDS drills, perhaps the more popular would be the SDS-Plus (SDS+) machines. Makita have an impressive range of SDS+ drills, both in corded and cordless variations. A fine example of an SDS+ drill would be the DHR202Z, this is a cordless machine part of Makita's 18V LXT range and has 3 functions (rotary, hammer and chisel)

The other well known SDS fitting is SDS-MAX, this fitting is normally chosen for larger and more powerful machines like demolition hammer drills. An example of a demolition hammer with the SDS-MAX fitting would be Makita's HR4013C. The HR4013C has 8.0 Joules of impact energy and 1,100 input wattage. It would be ideal for coring holes up to 105mm and has a maximum drilling capacity of 40mm into concrete.

SDS Drills are the perfect choice for anyone wanting to drill or chisel large or high volumes of concrete and brick.
