Original Makita part 232286-0 — Leaf Spring. Direct replacement leaf spring for Makita rotary hammers (fits models such as HR2630, HR2631/HR2631F/HR2631FT, HR2641 and compatible M8701 units).

This compact leaf spring installs in the change-lever / change-plate assembly (item #19 in the parts breakdown) and provides the spring tension that keeps the mode selector and change plate engaging cleanly between rotation, hammer+rotation and chipping positions.

Sold as a single, genuine Makita replacement (part number 232286-0). Replace a worn or broken leaf spring to restore positive mode selection and eliminate play or mis-engagement in the change lever.
