It’s a compact, precision-moulded magnetic element that installs into the motor housing to restore proper magnetic flux and consistent tool performance; listed as the magnet (ref. no. 318721) for the affected tool diagrams. This is a genuine Hitachi component and is included among Hitachi parts for models in the rotary-hammer, grinder and diamond-core drill families.
