Hitachi 360-591E — original Hitachi rotor/armature replacement for DH40-series rotary hammers.
Description: Precision-wound rotor (armature) assembly designed to restore motor rotation and commutation in Hitachi hammer drills. This original Hitachi 360-591E is the rotating anchor/rotor that mounts into the motor housing and carries the commutator segments; it’s intended for 220–230 V tool motors and is the correct replacement when the commutator is scored, the windings are damaged, or the shaft runout is out of tolerance.
Fits (example models): DH40MR, DH40MRY, DH40MRSR ,DH40FR and DH40SR- please verify the part number against your tool’s parts list before installing.
Notes: Supplied as the complete rotor/armature unit (commutator, laminated core and shaft ready to fit). Installation requires basic disassembly of the hammer’s motor and attention to brush alignment and endplay during reassembly.
