Original Makita carbon (graphite) plate — part no. 423029-3 — replacement graphite pad that sits under the sanding belt to reduce heat and friction, protect the tool’s base and improve belt tracking. It’s the exact Makita spare used on the manufacturer’s 100 mm belt sanders.
Fits Makita belt sanders with a 100 mm belt (100 × 610 mm belt size), including Model 9401 and Model 9402. It’s listed as “graphite pad” for these models and also fits wolf/ kango 5573
Simple to replace: the plate is a thin graphite/carbon backing that installs beneath the sanding belt on the sander’s platen — if your belt is wearing unevenly, glazing or causing extra heat, replacing the worn graphite plate restores smooth sanding and better belt life. This is the original Makita spare specified for the 9401/9402 line.
