Genuine Hitachi Stop Ring C-15 — part 6695285. A small, original Hitachi external retaining ring (listed as “Stop Ring C‑15, outer”) used in hedge-trimmer gearcase and blade assemblies to lock shafts and components axially in place.

Size note: “C‑15” denotes the C‑type retaining ring for a nominal 15 mm shaft/groove (external circlip type). If your shaft/groove measures ≈15 mm, this is the correct style and size to restore proper retention.
Straightforward to fit with small snap‑ring/needle‑nose pliers — replace any clip that’s bent, cracked or worn to prevent axial play of the blade/gear assembly. When servicing Hitachi parts, choose the original Hitachi stop ring to return the gearcase to its proper specification.
