Genuine Hitachi syringe — part no. 6699098 — listed in Hitachi parts diagrams as the syringe used with the primer/pump assembly on the CH22-series two‑stroke hedge trimmers.
Compatible with Hitachi / HiKOKI models including : CH22EAP2 (50ST), CH22EA2 (50ST), CH22EBP2 (62ST), CH22EB2 (62ST), CH22ECP2 and CH22EC2 (both 62ST/78ST) as shown in the parts diagrams.
A small molded syringe that installs into the primer/primer‑base area (see adjacent part numbers 6699097 primer base, 6699096 pump gasket and 6699095 pump diaphragm); it’s secured by the syringe retainer (6699099) and replaces the single syringe component in the pump assembly. This genuine Hitachi item appears in the same pump sub‑assembly across the parts lists.
If your trimmer’s primer is cracked, collapsed or not drawing fuel, swapping in part 6699098 restores the correct fit in the pump/primer assembly so the primer action works as intended and helps return the unit to reliable starting.
