Makita 687054-0 — Strain relief (original Makita). A small, molded cord-entry strain relief designed to secure the power lead where it enters the tool housing and protect the internal wiring from tugging and abrasion. It’s the same replacement strain relief shown in Makita parts breakdowns and parts lists, sold as the genuine Makita part 687054-0.
Fits a range of older Makita corded tools — commonly used on table saws and some saws/grinders including models 2702, 2703, 2704, 5103R , 5143R and 9079S. Use this part to restore the original cord clamp / entry arrangement exactly as shown in Makita’s parts diagrams.
Quick install note: the part snaps or fastens into the cord-entry opening in the tool’s plastic housing and grips the cord to prevent pull-out — replace the damaged bushing with this item to re-establish a secure cord entry and reduce strain on the internal termination.
