Makita have a large variety of cordless tool kits available in their vast power tool range, these range from twin packs including a cordless drill and impact driver to bigger 6 piece kits including many different tools.

Two examples of the Makita 18V 2 piece kits are the DLX2131JX1 and DLX2145TJ cordless drill and impact driver sets. Both kits include the popular 18V DTD152 impact driver, but sport different combi drills and batteries. The DLX2131JX1 has the Makita DHP482 combi drill, whereas the DLX2145TJ has the heavier duty DHP458 with a metal gearbox and chuck. The difference in batteries are also something worth noting. The DLX2131JX1 is normally supplied with three Makita BL1830, 3.0Ah, Li-Ion batteries and the DLX2145TJ comes with two BL1850, 5.0Ah batteries.

Makita currently have three different 6 piece kit variations available (Although other kits can be made to requirements). These are the DLX6067PT, DLX6072PT and DLX6068, all are supplied with the DTD152 impact driver, a DC18RD twin port charger, 3x BL1850 5.0Ah batteries, a circular saw and a large LXT600 carry bag. Depending on which kit is chosen a planer, jigsaw, grinder or reciprocating saw can be included.
