Makita - 233950-6 - RING SPRING 11 BPJ140/180/GA

233950-6 — Ring Spring 11 (original Makita)

Compact, original Makita ring spring (part no. 233950-6) sized for a nominal 11 mm groove/shaft location. It’s the small retaining/snap ring that secures the internal spindle/gear components inside Makita angle grinders and related tools — located next to the spiral bevel gear and bearing box on the exploded diagrams. Ideal if yours has fallen out, is deformed, or the tool won’t hold the spindle/gear in place anymore.

Fits (examples): GA4030 / GA4034 , GA4530, GA5010, GA5030 / GA5034 and cordless grinders DGA463 / DGA513 / DGA454), as well as several planers and routers (examples include PC5000C / PC5001C, BPJ140 / BPJ180 / PJ7000 and MT962 models).

Why this part matters: the ring spring provides axial retention for gears/bearings inside the gearbox/spindle assembly; a correct, undamaged ring spring restores proper endplay and prevents gear or bearing movement that causes noise, premature wear, or unsafe operation. It’s a direct-numbered, made-for-Makita replacement sized to match the original groove.

Simple to install — replace the old/deformed ring spring with the 233950-6 and reassemble following your model’s exploded view (item labeled “RING SPRING 11”). If your parts diagram shows 233950-6 in the assembly, this is the matching original Makita ring spring.
