Makita 644508-0 — Brush holder (genuine Makita)
- Description: A molded brush holder that secures the carbon brush and spring against the commutator, restoring reliable electrical contact and motor performance in affected rotary-hammer motors. This is the origianl Makita brush-holder assembly used on one side of the motor (it pairs with the complementary brush holder used on the opposite side). It is designed to accept Makita carbon brush CB‑442.
- Example fitment: used on Makita 26 mm cordless SDS-plus rotary hammers such as the DHR263 series (including DHR263Z variants) and the DHR264 series, and is also referenced for XRH05-series rotary hammers (XRH05/PT/Z variants). Use this part when the holder is cracked, the brush is loose, or the brush spring/terminal is damaged.
Notes: sold as the single brush holder (part no. 644508-0). When replacing motor brushes consider checking both brush holders and the matching carbon brush (Makita CB‑442) to ensure even wear and reliable operation.
